Tell us about your role at SMCT.
As the IT Service Delivery Lead for SMCT, I work closely with the IT Manager (Karl Neubauer) and the wider IT/Business Transformation Team. I complete the technical tasks and provide appropriate oversight and guidance to deliver key initiatives and projects.
What was your first job?
I was a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver... the extra $3 per delivery went far!
What is the most important thing you've learnt throughout your career?
The fear of being wrong or asking “dumb” questions is what limits growth. I’d rather speak up to learn and grow than be silent and stagnant in my professional and personal growth.
What's your number one work-related goal this year?
To work on my professional development by completing some certificates that relate to my area of expertise and support the career path I’m on.
What do you wish everyone knew about SMCT?
I wish everyone knew the care and compassion that goes into everything at SMCT. Every choice we make as an organisation has customer centricity at heart, working for the sheer purpose of supporting our wider community during the hardest moments in their lives.
Who inspires you?
My dad is my biggest inspiration, hands-down. He is the embodiment of love, compassion, determination and what it means to overcome life’s many challenges.
As an Electrical Engineer by trade, he was the reason I developed a love of technology; nurturing my curiosity from a young age by encouraging me building remote-control cars, computers and getting me into programming.
To top it off, all my dad wants from life is to make sure my brother and I have a family and a home before he goes back to India to take care of his mum.
