This informative book is full of touching stories with details of daring and poignant acts of bravery. It is downloadable and free for the entire community. The book includes:

  • Rich Detail - Authored by Dr Celestina Sagazio in consultation with other historians and key organisations, including the Office of War Graves, Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
  • Window to the Past - Carefully selected archival photography captures the historic opening of the Victorian War Cemetery.
  • Exploration Guide - Walking Tour Routes with clearly illustrated maps allow you to explore historic graves and key locations at SBC at your own pace.
  • A Living Legacy - Brilliant modern photography explores the beautiful locations and current high level of care and respect shown for Victoria’s history.

"Victorian citizens have been involved in wars since the 19th century, and this booklet commemorates the considerable service of many individuals who participated in major conflicts. We’re so proud that Victorian War Heritage will make their stories known to a new generation of Victorians"

- Jane Grover, CEO
